Oh Nero d’Avola, what a wonderful grape. I may be a bit biased because I really love Sicilian wine but Nero d’Avola is one of those gems that once you try it, you ask “Where has this been all my life?”
Miopasso Nero d’Avola is wonderful. It’s got all the classic hallmarks of quality Nero d’Avola but doesn’t break the bank!
What can you expect from this wine? Well, expect it to be full-bodied and packed full of concentrated flavours of black cherry, black plum, hints of liquorice and tobacco. A small portion of the grapes were dried before fermentation, which help concentrate the flavours and bring sweet spicy notes to the wine.
That’s why I love this wine, because it’s complex and ever so drinkable. Pair Miopasso Nero d’Avola with a bacon burger. The rich structure of this wine will be able to stand up to the bold flavours of the beef burger and the bacon on top.
