Torracina Nero d’Avola is a fantastic wine hailing from the beautiful hills of Sicily. A portion of the grapes were dried before vinification to give it extra concentration and flavour, and boy does it. After fermentation, the wine is aged in a mix of steel, new and used oak, maximising fruit aromas while giving it a well-rounded texture.
TASTING NOTES:
Expect a rich wine, full of black plum, dark concentrated cherry and hints of spice to it.
FOOD PAIRING:
Pizza all the way for this. Torracina Nero d’Avola is a fantastic example of that midweek red with something quick simple and delicious.
