The PEMO range of wines celebrates two grapes from Abruzzo – Pecorino (PE) and Montepulciano (MO). These two grapes have been growing in this region since 200 AD. The Pecorino grapes come from Chieti, the capital of the Abruzzo region and one of Italy’s most ancient cities.
PEMO Pecorino wine is perfect for fans of Pinot Grigio wanting to try something more complex. It’s zesty, fruit forward and full of refreshing acidity. It’s normally fermented stored in stainless steel, which heightens the fruity palate of the wine. However, PEMO Pecorino spends four months ageing on its lees. This gives another element to the wine, making it more complex. Complexity in a wine is important, and is a sign of good quality.
We love this wine. It’s got beautiful floral notes such as jasmin, with lovely citrus flavours, intertwined with refreshing minerality.
