MK Gruner Veltliner

MK is an exquisite Gruner Veltliner from Wachau in Austria. The MK stands for Melk & Krems, the two towns where the Wachau region is nestled between.

What Is It?

Gruner Veltliner is one of those grapes that doesn’t get much press, but the people who know about it love it.

It’s classed as an aromatic grape and is the most widely planted grape in Austria. It grows similarly to Riesling, on very steep slopes that can barely retain soil.

What Does It Taste Like?

Normally Gruner Veltliner is packed full of mineral qualities. This one is no different. Complimenting the mineral notes, you’ll find it to be clean, crisp, fresh, dry and refreshing with high levels of bright and zesty acidity giving the wine a lovely lift.
