Paololeo Negroamaro is produced in Salento in Puglia, right on the heel of Italy. Here, you’ll find baking temperatures and lots of full-bodied red wine, including Primitivo & Negroamaro. Directly translated as ‘Black & Bitter’, it lives up to its name.
Expect a wonderfully deep-coloured red wine with rich tannins and notes of black pepper, anise and black plum. The wine remains balanced though, with enough acidity to make it a wonderful drop.
