Cave de Hunawihr Réserve Riesling
Cave de Hunawihr is a small cooperative in Alsace, founded in 1954 to help re-establish winemaking traditions in a region that had suffered greatly during the Second World War. Today, the cooperative has around 110 members and vineyards across the hills surrounding the picturesque village of Hunawihr. The grapes for this Réserve come from south and south-east facing slopes, with the vineyards benefiting from the shelter of the Vosges Mountains.
TASTING NOTES:
A beautiful pale yellow in colour, with an elegant nose of lime, grapefruit and pear. Fresh and lively on the palate, with bright citrus flavours and mouthwatering acidity. A beautifully refreshing wine with a long, clean finish. This is a really versatile Riesling that works brilliantly with food, particularly when there is a little spice involved.
