Longboard Point Break Red Blend

Point Break is the signature red blend from Longboard Vineyards, founded by surfer-turned-winemaker Oded Shakked in Sonoma, California. Inspired by the way a point break brings different ocean swells together into one powerful wave, the wine brings together fruit from several Northern Californian vineyards to create a rich, expressive blend. Longboard's winemaking philosophy is deliberately relaxed and individual, with a focus on making wines that are enjoyable rather than following traditional rules.

TASTING NOTES:

Deeply flavoured yet beautifully smooth, this blend opens with aromas of fresh cherry, strawberry, dark chocolate and rose petals. The palate is rich and velvety, combining blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe berry fruit with lively acidity, gentle spice and plush tannins. Syrah brings savoury spice and structure, while Merlot and Malbec add softness and richness, resulting in a long, generous finish.
