Chateau des Combes Bordeaux really punches above its classification and price point. It's an approachable Bordeaux, easy to drink but also offers a lot of complexity. It's a wonderful blend of Merlot, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, and you can pick out each with every sip.
This wine is medium-bodied. On the nose, you’re hit with wonderful red fruit and slight inkiness to it. Then you’re hit with herbal notes from the Cabernet Sauvignon.
TASTING NOTES:
On the palate, you get a wonderful silky texture. The tannins are subtle and they gently coat the mouth, leading to a fantastic, long finish.
