Duca di Saragnano Sangiovese Bianco

A delicious Italian white wine brimming with orange blossom and quince characters, produced by this multi-award winning wine producer.

Sangiovese Bianco first appeared in the cellars of forward-thinking winemakers in Tuscany, who sought to reimagine the region’s most iconic grape by exploiting its versatility. Today, production remains limited, with only a handful of estates bottling Sangiovese Bianco either as a curiosity for their cellars or as a small commercial offering. These wines are often labelled as IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica), given that DOC and DOCG regulations do not usually accommodate white wines made from Sangiovese.

TASTING NOTES:

The wine displays a straw yellow colour. Aromas of sour cherry, orange blossom, and broom contribute to its aromatic profile, with quince present in the background. The palate reveals noticeable minerality, freshness, balance, and a slight savoury quality.
