Les Hauts de Barville Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Founded in 1931, Maison Brotte is one of the Rhône Valley's most respected family-owned wineries, with four generations dedicated to producing exceptional wines. Based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the family combines traditional winemaking with sustainable vineyard practices to express the unique terroirs of the Southern Rhône. The grapes for Les Hauts de Barville are sourced from the appellation's renowned soils of rolled pebbles, limestone and sand before being hand-harvested and aged for around 12 months in a combination of century-old oak foudres and French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES:
Rich aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and liquorice are lifted by hints of Mediterranean herbs and warming spice. The palate is concentrated yet balanced, offering layers of juicy dark fruit, black olive and subtle oak, with silky tannins and fresh acidity. A long, savoury finish with notes of truffle and garrigue gives this wine impressive depth and elegance.
