Portal da Calcada Vinho Verde
If anybody knows me then they know how much Alvarinho/Albarino. It's just a wonderful grape. They'll also know that I love Vinho Verde, as it's a fabulous wine style. When I first tried this Alvarinho & Loureiro Vinho Verde I almost instantly knew I had to stock it.
Vinho Verde DOC generally produces simple wine of a refreshing nature, normally lower in alcohol.
However there are a number of premium fuller-bodied examples and this is one of them.
TASTING NOTES:
Portal da Calcada Vinho Verde is still and it has a little bit more complexity than the likes of Lago Vinho Verde (which we love). Expect a vibrant wine, packed full of mineral notes and tropical fruit flavours.

FOOD PAIRING:
At 11.5% this wine is incredibly easy drinking and has beautifully refreshing acidity. We'd recommend pairing Portal da Calcada Loureiro/Alvarinho with sea bass and salsa verde.
