Ventisquero Reserva Carmenere

Carmenere is a wonderful grape with a very interesting history. It's origins are in Bordeaux and for years it was thought to be extinct! In actual fact, it was thriving in Chile and had been mistaken for Merlot! This has earned Carmenere the nickname 'The Hidden Vine'.
 
Ventisquero Carmenere comes from Chile's Colchagua Valley, a sub-region within the huge Central Valley.
 
TASTING NOTES:
 
Expect a medium to full-bodied red with a very attractive aromas of fresh black and red fruits. It boasts lovely velvety tannins, which adds to the complexity and structure of this wine. You'll find a lick of vanilla upon taste too, which just balances out the lovely fruit flavours.
