Botas de Barro Toro
Botas de Barro (literal translation ‘Dirty Boots’) is a wonderful brand from Spanish Palate – A great company producing wonderful wines from all over Spain. For those customers based in South Yorkshire, you’ll be interested to find out that the founder of Spanish Palate is called Nicola Thornton and she is originally from Wickersley, Rotherham!
TASTING NOTES:
Well, it's made from Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) so it has an intense red cherry colour with very marked violet edging. In the nose the wine is intense and very expressive. The wine is relatively young so expect black fruits with notes of violets and liquorice.
On the palate, it is intense and alive, true to its area. Good tannic structure that will help you perfectly accompany to red meat and high-cured cheeses. The influence of its slight passage through the wood leaves the end of the mouth, very subtle.
