Chateau de Flore Cahors Malbec
You may see this Malbec and see that it comes from France, not Argentina and gasp. You may exclaim "French Malbec?!?!" in a surprised fashion.
Most Malbec comes from Mendoza, Argentina but like most grapes we know and love it's existence started in France. Malbec is originally a grape from the south-west of France. It can sometimes be used in Bordeaux wines but its main plantings are in a small area called Cahors.
TASTING NOTES:
Chateau de Flore Cahors Malbec is intense. It shows wonderful red fruit on the nose with dark cherries at the forefront. Upon taste, the wine bursts with redcurrant, warm sweet spice and liquorice. Supple, with fine tannins and with a really long finish.
