Le Chant de Roses Gewurztraminer

WHAT IS GEWURZTRAMINER?
 
Gewürztraminer is a white grape variety famous for its strong aroma and flavours. It is most closely linked to the Alsace region in France, but it grows in many other parts of the world, too.
 
Gewürztraminer wines are very aromatic, with smells of lychee, rose petals, and spices. They can be rich and full-bodied, sometimes with a slightly oily feel. The taste is often fruity and spicy, with low acidity and higher alcohol. Some wines finish with a touch of bitterness.

On the nose, delicate notes of lychee, rose petals, and exotic spices. This beautifully balanced wine unfolds on the palate with a silky texture, leading to a refreshing, lingering finish.
 
PRODUCER:
 
Xavier Roger -Xavier Roger was raised in the vineyards of Sancerre, learning winemaking from his family’s renowned domaine. With his brothers continuing the family business, Xavier struck out on his own, studying winemaking in Burgundy and gaining international experience in the US, New Zealand, and Germany, before returning to France to work in Bordeaux and later managing an estate in Nimes.
 
In 2013, after joining LGI and working closely with founder Alain Grignon, Xavier took over as general manager. He continues to oversee winemaking and maintains strong relationships with local growers, allowing him to source the best grapes in the region. By blending traditional and modern techniques, Xavier Roger produces exceptional wines that showcase the quality of the South of France.
