Quinta Vista Lisboa Red Blend

You may have guessed already, but Lisboa is the region surrounding Lisbon, Portugal's capital city. It runs down the Atlantic coast, which moderates the climate.

A key feature of Portuguese wine is that they're often blends of several grape varieties. To add a bit of confusion these grapes are often indigenous to Portugal. At the very least they'll have a Portuguese name. Don't worry! We're here to help.

The Quinta Vista Lisboa range blends world renowned grapes with lesser-known grapes, native to Portugal.

In this wine you'll find Syrah (aka Shiraz), which predominantly grows in warm-hot climates, making wines with a fuller-body.

This wine also has Tinta Roriz in it, also known as Tempranillo. The grape used in Rioja production. So we're getting a good picture of how this wine is going to taste.

The other two grapes used are Touriga Franca and Castelao. Two indigenous varieties to Portugal.

Quinta Vista Lisboa red offers intense spice, black and red fruit aromas. Hints of chocolate and vanilla from oak ageing gives increases complexity. It's Medium-full bodied with noticeable tannins that integrate well. There's a lovely long finish to the wine and the flavours keep going until you take the next sip.
