Rossello Langhe Rosso

Back in April 2024 I had the pleasure of going to Vinitaly in Verona, Italy. If you follow our socials then you’ll have undoubtedly seen my posts. I had the pleasure of meeting my good friend Marco Cabrelli, an importer and restaurateur from Manchester. He introduced me to his friend (and now my friend) Giulio Rossello. Most importantly, he introduced me to Giulio’s wines. They were fabulous!
 
Fast-forward to July 2025 and we have been working extensively with Rossello for over a year!
 
WHAT IS LANGHE ROSSO?
 
Langhe Rosso is a red wine designation from the Langhe region in Piedmont, north-west Italy, celebrated for its rolling hills, medieval villages, and world-class vineyards. The “Langhe” denomination allows winemakers the freedom to blend native grape varieties, such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, with international ones like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Rossello Langhe Rosso is a blend of the three aforementioned varieties. Rossello Langhe Rosso is a prized expression of the region, capturing the essence of Piedmont in every bottle.
 
TASTING NOTES:
 
The bouquet is inviting and complex, revealing notes of ripe red cherries, wild berries, and plums, interwoven with hints of violet, dried herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, this wine offers a harmonious balance between bright acidity and velvety tannins. Flavours of blackcurrant, sour cherry, and a touch of cedar unfold gradually, leading to a long, elegant finish with whispers of cocoa. It’s definitely more of a fruit forward wine, perfect for Tuesday nights with an uncomplicated dinner.
